Small Pleasures

On a walk, I saw a sign that made me stand absolutely still with disbelief:

There is a Tim Horton's in Castlebar, Co. Mayo. What province is that in? CONNAUGHT. (Note: Which is NOT a province of Canada.)

I roped a few American
team members into going

and trying it out.

Everything's
printed in
both English
and French.
Hooray!!!!!

And for you naysayers
who don't believe the story's

true, there's the road sign in
Irish to
prove our locale.

It's the little things that get you by when you're far from home. Even if you're enjoying yourself abroad, there's nothing like the familliar to transport you to a place you miss.

Ali's Note:
I'm becoming Canadian one sip at a time!!!
Tomorrow: We tackle kosher!

Oh Deb, don't fool everyone, Connaught the bilingual English/Gaelic Canadian province is my favourite one. It's provincial animal, the polar rhinoceros is a symbol of what makes Canada great!

Um, that Dan guy is crazy. Everyone knows the provincial animal of Connaught is the fire-breathing arctic swordfish. Duh.

Have Canadians ever actually been ackowledged as the most creative and random people ever? 'cause I'm pretty sure we deserve the credit for that.
